Chapter 3

  • 25 Feb, 2026

“Tell me something, AR.” Aksh waited. “When the mission ended… and you were sitting alone in that hospital room… who were you then?” For the first time— Silence from Aksh wasn’t strategic. It was heavy. After what felt like an eternity Aksh finally spoke. “Who I was, who I am doesn't matter, Hukum.” And there was another blow.

The word Hukum pinched Rishikesh like never before. The word lingered. Hukum. Rishikesh didn’t react immediately. He just watched him. Then he spoke. “Don’t call me that.” There was firmness behind his words in the way his jaw tightened. Aksh’s expression didn’t change. “It is accurate.”

For the Flame to Burn, It Needs a Spark These words—these poems, musings, echoes of soul—they are pieces of me, offered to the void. If they’ve ever stirred something in you, made silence feel understood or chaos feel poetic… Then let your support be the wind beneath this fire. A small gesture. A mighty impact. Because art survives on love—and the occasional coffee. ☕✨

He was the enemy king. She was the defeated general. He ruled with frost in his veins and silence in his eyes. She commanded battlefields with wildfire in her lungs and defiance in every breath. He waged a war for the sake of his kingdom. She surrendered to save hers. Their worlds stood on opposite ends of a bloodstained map. And then as fate would have it, a single incident and her life and honour are in balance. The twists and turns that follow lead to marriage. They vow to guard their hearts. No weakness. No attachment. No surrender beyond the vows forced upon them. Yet proximity is its own battlefield. Shared corridors. Shared councils. Shared silences that stretch too long. Secrets begin to surface. Truths buried beneath the war refuse to stay hidden. And the line between enemy and ally blurs with every stolen glance. And when the king who never bent begins to fall, he does not fall carefully. He falls completely.
